From Shahan:
I have always had a passion for science and psychology, but I found my path in counselling following some personal challenges. Early on in my career, I experienced the loss of a close family member. At the time, I struggled to find the resources I needed to help support my grieving, and quickly realized how important it is to support others mental well-being in their time of need. I have experience working with a wide range of people: those in crisis, children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, and working with youth in the school system. Facilitating your growth in a way that is supportive, empathic, and tailored to your specific needs is something that I am very passionate about and committed to in my work
I have partnered with Alongside You in Ladner BC, and I am leasing space in their office to see clients.
I provide counselling in different areas including:
Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Issues, Interpersonal Communication,
Suicidal Ideation, Self-Harm, Grief and Loss, Life Transitions, Trauma.
"It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried."
